This Amerex ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher is UL rated for a 10 foot square area. That rating is in the hands of a novice (one with little or no experience in operating a fire extinguisher). The overall fire suppression capability is estimated to be 10 to 25 square feet of coverage depending on the experience of the operator. This fire extinguisher is DOT (Department of Transportation) and USCG (United States Coast Guard) approved when mounted with a proper bracket. This has simple operation and maintenance requirements. Note Chrime fire extinguishers have to be hydrotested every 5 years. This chrome extinguisher comes with a vehicle bracket for added safety.
