This ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher is UL rated for a 120 foot square area. That rating is in the hands of a novice (one with little or no experience in operating a fire extinguisher). The overall fire suppression capability is estimated to be 120 to 300 square feet of coverage depending on the experience of the operator. This fire extinguisher is DOT (Department of Transportation) and USCG (United States Coast Guard) approved when mounted with a proper bracket. This has simple operation and maintenance requirements which are printed right on the tough mylar nameplate, and the unit is rechargeable. Manufactured with a durable high quality metal steel container and treated with a corrosion resistant process and painted with special formulated polyester paint which is electrostatically applied and oven cured. Easy grip handles are designed for portability and ease of use. Large easy to read gauges are used to make the extinguisher user friendly. This high quality extinguisher comes with a six year limited warranty. Steel valve stems and O-ring are compatible with the extinguishing agent to provide reliable performance and long life.
